MAJOR GODS AND GODDESSES Ah, yes. The ones everyone is familiar with. These gods and goddesses banded together and overthrew the corrupt regime of the Titans, replacing Cronus with Zeus and launching Greece into another era of mythology. The gods and goddesses are strong, but have many human weaknesses and perhaps it is for this reason that they have survived so long in our hearts and heads. Either that, or they're just too damned crazy to forget.
Aphrodite - Goddess of love, lust, beauty, seduction, and pleasure. Wife of Hephaestus but lover to Ares. Aphrodite currently has one daughter on Pantheos.
Apollo - God of music, healing, and poetry. Associated with the sun. Apollo currently has no children on Pantheos.
Ares - God of war, bloodlust, carnage, and courage. Lover to Aphrodite. Ares currently has no children on Pantheos.
Artemis - Virgin goddess of the hunt, archery, wilderness, animals, and childbirth. Associated with the moon. Artemis currently has no children on Pantheos. Creativity!
Athena - Virgin goddess of wisdom, warcraft, and strategy. Athena currently has one son on Pantheos. Be creative with this one too, guys. (;
Demeter - Goddess of agriculture, harvest, and fertility, mother of Persephone. Demeter currently has one daughter on Pantheos.
Dionysus - God of revelry, alcohol, pleasure, and festivals. Dionysus currently has no children on Pantheos.
Hades - King of the Underworld and the god of death and the dead. Hades currently has one son on Pantheos.
Hephaestus - God of fire, metalworking, and blacksmiths, consort to Aphrodite. Hephaestus currently has no children on Pantheos.
Hera - Queen of heaven and goddess of marriage, consort to Zeus. Hera currently has no children on Pantheos.
Hermes - God of travel and messengers. Hermes currently has no children on Pantheos.
Hestia - Virgin goddess of the hearth, home, and cooking. Hestia currently has no children on Pantheos, and you'd better be creative in thinking up how she could! (;
Persephone - Queen of the Underworld, consort to Hades, and goddess of spring. Persephone currently has no children on Pantheos.
Poseidon - God of the seas and of water disasters. Sometimes known as the 'Earth shaker.' Poseidon currently has one daughter on Pantheos.
Zeus - King of the Gods and 'the god of the sky, weather, thunder, law, order and fate.' Zeus currently has one son on Pantheos.

Ananke - Goddess of compulsion. Ananke currently has no children on Pantheos.
Gaea - Mother Earth, and mother of the Titans. Gaea currently has no children on Pantheos.
Hemera - Goddess of daylight and the sun. Hemera currently has no children on Pantheos.
Chronos - Keeper of Time. Chronos currently has no children on Pantheos.
The Nesoi [5] - Goddesses of the islands. The Nesoi currently have no children on Pantheos.
Nyx - Goddess of night. Nyx currently has no children on Pantheos.
Uranus - God of the heavens and father of the Titans. He banished the Titans, his children, to the Underworld because they did not please him. Uranus currently has no children on Pantheos.
The Ourea [5] - Gods of the mountains. The Ourea currently have no children on Pantheos.
Phanes - God of procreation. Phanes currently has no children on Pantheos.
Pontos - God of the sea and the father of marine life. Pontos currently has no children on Pantheos.
Thalassa - Spirirt of the sea and consort to Pontos. Thalassa currently has no children on Pantheos.
TITANS The most ancient reaches of divinity, the legendary Titans were all descendants of Uranus and Gaea, and were all ruled by Cronus and Rhea. The era during which they ruled was called The Golden Age. They are considered the elder gods and though they were still overthrown by the younger ones currently ruling Olympus, they have great respect.
Hyperion - God of light, father, with Theia, of Helios, Selene, and Eos. Hyperion currently has no children on Pantheos.
Iapetos - God of mortality and father of Prometheus, Epimetheus, and Atlas. Iapetos currently has no children on Pantheos.
Coeus - God of intellect and the axis of heaven around which the constellations revolved. Coeus currently has no children on Pantheos.
Cronus - Leader of the Titans, husband to sister Rhea, overthrown by Zeus. Cronus has no children on Pantheos.
Mnemosyne - Goddess of memory, mother of the Nine Muses. Mnemosyne currently has no children on Pantheos.
Oceanus - God of the mythical earth-encircling river Oceanus, which provides the silo for the other bodies of water on earth, consort to Tethys. Oceanus currently has no children on Pantheos.
Phoebe - Goddess of intellect and prophecy. Phoebe currently has no children on Pantheos.
Rhea - Mother of fertility, motherhood, and generation. Wife and sister to Chronus and mother of Zeus, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, Demeter, and Hestia. Rhea currently has no children on Pantheos.
Tethys - Mother of rivers, springs, streams, fountains, creeks, and clouds and wife to Oceanus. Tethys has no children on Pantheos.
Theia - Goddess of sight and shining light, mother of Helios, Selene, and Eos. Theia has no children on Pantheos.
Themis - Goddess of divine law and order. Themis currently has no children on Pantheos.
Asteria - Goddess of nightly oracles and falling stars. Asteria currently has no children on Pantheos.
Astraios - God of stars and planets. Astraios currently has no children on Pantheos.
Atlas - Carries the earth upon his shoulders. Atlas currently has no children on Pantheos.
Aura - Goddess of the breeze and of the fresh, morning air. Aura currently has no children on Pantheos.

THE NINE MUSES The Nine Muses, all daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, serve as inspirations to all the people who are interested in their respective domains. For instance, the Muse of dance, Terpsichore, would serve as the inspiration to all the dancers of the Grecian world. These Muses were very revered and respected in Ancient Greece, and often, before any work of art was shown or any astronomer revealed his discoveries, or any dancer began to dance, the Greeks would stop and offer a prayer of thanksgiving to the particular Muse who had aided him.
